What an enjoyable weekend we had, few bits of rain but also a whole lot of lovely warm weather, which made a welcome change!
Only two teams entered: Chasers and Hunters
First up; Chasers, we were bottom seed, with top seed being over 1 second faster than us, so we knew we had no hope of getting very far in the division. However, we DID manage to get a new seed time of 17.94, finally breaking the 18 second barrier! Really pleased with all the dogs, Inca seemed settled almost straight away and seemed to be running consistently which is a real achievement for her, just now need to see some true speed from her! Mia ran much better this weekend, superbly run by Marie. Roi, wasn't on form, he had a little tumble the week before racing and just didnt seem to give his all, as he usually does. Jasmine ran fantastically all day, even running start dog at the end of the day to give Roi a break, given that Jasmine is an 11" height dog, one would assume she would run from around 35 ft, but no she surprised us all by running from 42 ft and getting 0.01 and a rolling start!
Hunters were up next, again seeded bottom so we had no expectations of getting very far. Honey was running like a sack of old spuds, goodness knows why, but she just was not in the mood! Macdui ran all day and gained some more points and Roxy, who was the apprentice dog on the team managed 4/5 full runs perfectly, so huge well done to her and Andy!
Overall no placings to be had, but a thoroughly enjoyable weekend!
