Well WHAT a day! don't really know where to start! We only had two teams entered (thankfully) and were in and out of the ring with both teams all day. SUCH hard work! The day started off with speed trials, Hunters doing 20.40, which could have been much faster had we all got our changes right at the same time! We had: Kane, Ronnie, Macdui, Tes and Honey, as usual all dogs ran fantastically all day, Macdui having a bit of a "moment" in the first couple of legs, but soon sorted himself out and ran brilliantly! Kane managed to do 5.1 at the end of the day so is certainly getting back to full fitness, Ronnie as usual was a star running his own height all day long, Tes did her first "last dog re-run", spitting her ball on cue and legging it back down the lane, clever girl! And Honey, was, well, Honey... though she did manage to pull out a 4.7!!! (That will keep me smiling for a loong time!) The Double Elimination in the afternoon was really tough, we managed 4 races, losing the first and straight down losers route, with it being such a hot day we worked hard to keep the dogs cool and rested in between races. Overall they came third and absolutely |(dogs and handlers) ran their socks off for it!
Chasers was the usual four, winning the speed trails with 17.91, which wasn't terrible considering the heat and the fact that the first few runs were no times due to ball fumlbes and earlies! Again these finished third, though only did three races as they skipped the first races due to winning the speed trails. Inca yet AGAIN had a "special2 moment, fascinated by a dog in the other lane! Unfortunately Roi was not at all on form, fumbling throughout the day, so some training needed there so he can some back on full form!
Overall a very intersting days racing,
