After months of hard work, the championships were finally upon us. We had entered 4 teams, Chasers, Seekers, Hunters and Runners.
Friday saw Hunters and Runners competing for their Divisional win. Hunters first in; Harry, Billy, Summer and Chance. All dogs ran paw perfect while doing much faster times than expected! They only managed to win one race all day, but still got placed 4th! Chance really showing how much he has come on when he had to run third dog and have Summer run into him, he didnt bat an eyelid, go Chance. Nathan lost his head a little and got more than a few lights, but overall everyone was really happy with what they had achieved and were more than happy with their fourth place. Well done guys! Runners were up next, (Kane, Skye, Mia and Honey) first race in Skylar forgot to change heads and went in with her Barbie head, and ended up running out three times consecutively, so of course we lost that first race (though it seems the team that beat us was quite a bit faster anyway!) They won the next four races, with Kane doing 4.8 (amazing) and Honey balancing it out with her slug impression! Runners came second and everyone was absolutely chuffed to bits! Sunday we had Seekers and Chasers in. Seekers running in Division 9; (Digby, Winchester, Neville and Tes) This was by far the best racing we had all weekend, the whole division was so tight! They won three out of five races, taking it to a three way tie for first place! Sadly, High Flyers had done a much faster time than us, putting us in second place. Big congrats to Karen who managed some incredible changes with Tes and n ot just one or two, all day she was spot on and making me squeal! Chasers were the last of ours to race, (Lyriq, Calluna, Jasmine and Inca) First race they ran really well, gaining a new seed time of 17.11, we lost but were happy with the dogs and handlers. Next race in we had a disaster, Calluna lost her head and tried chasing the other lane, unfortunately she changed her mind at the last moment and tried to go up her own lane, on the wrong side, which meant she collided with Lyriq. Obvioulsy we pulled those dogs immediately as it was quite a big hit and they were both bruised and sore. We continued with Jasmine and Inca in order to give the other teams a lane to race against, as we only had two dogs we asked Extreme if they would like to join us with another two dogs, we went NFC (Not For Competition) with Inca (Extremes Staffy) Surf, Extreme Collie and our own Jasmine and Inca. Both Calluna and Lyriq seem to have bounced back with no damage, lets hope they are happy to continue playing flyball. We also had our first annual awards! Categories were: Most Improved dog, Most committed team member and Dog of the Year. Winners were: Most Improved Dog: Calluna Most Committed Team Member: Sarah Dog of the Year: Jasmine we also had some fun awards to give out Most Speshul Dog, went to Skylar Most Speshul Team Member, went to Liz Biggest Diva, went to Nathan Bring on next year, where we are determined to bring home on of those shiel

Firstly apologies for not keeping up to date all with things, have had a busy few months and have struggled to find the time.
Ok so where did we leave off? Sutton Fields in May, well since then we have attended 5 competitions, of course there is no way I can remember the details of each comp, so instead i will give an account of each dogs progress. We will start with Harry. Harry made his Open debut at Sutton Fields, running all day faultlessly, since then he has gone from strength to strength, he did have a few hiccups in the beginning, running out and sometimes stealing balls from the other lane! But, he has overcome all of this and is now what i would call a reliable Open dog. He started running at around 5.8-6 seconds, but is now getting faster and faster and averaging around 5.4, which is excellent. Harry has competed at 8 tournaments and not once let us down, he gained his Flyball Dog Award on the 25th May 2013 at Ryecroft and has stacked up a total of 545 points! Go Harry! Summer is our next little superstar, being an 8" height dog she has big shoes to fill, Summer made her Open debut at Drax as a stand in for Digby! No easy task, and blow me she ran paw perfect and even managed to get the team doing 18.64, which is incredible for such a small dog! She then went on to do the next four comps without fault, however at Ready 2 Fly competition, there seemed to be remnants of a dead bird in the arena and poor little Summer just couldnt focus, we tried our best but the Spaniel nose just couldn't be tamed, we went NFC in the end and at the last race we put Summer in and she completed, good girl Summer! Summer now has 385 points. Amber has now done 5 competitions, her debut being in Top Team along with Summer when Digby went lame, she ran like a star and didnt put a paw wrong. She then went into the Hunters team, affectionately named the "Baby Team" as it consisted of; Harry. Summer, Chance and Amber, all of whom had gone through starters and into Open together. Amber has always been a little hit and miss when it comes to flyball, but she shocked us all when she ran all day in a four dog team, no problems at all, she then went on to do another and another, clearly we were getting way ahead of ourselves as at her last competition she decided she couldnt possibly go all the way over those 8" jumps and then all the way back again, so decided to run out! We tried our best but she just wasnt having it, so again, we went NFC. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Amber has decided she just doesnt want to play flyball, not even at training, so for the time being she is taking a break, she will be back in the near future, but for now our little Barbie needs a flyball holiday! Amber has gained 430 points. Chance, the last of the "Babies" Chance has come on in leaps and bounds and looking to have real potential as a fast dog. Chance has always had to run last dog from his first go at training, if there was another dog lined up he would stalk them all the way out of the lane and if we dared to send another dog at him, he would chase it, so last dog it was! Chances little blip, happened to be ball dropping, sometimes he would spit at the box, sometimes it would just fall out of his mouth and sometimes he would spit half way, Emily had the genuis idea of trying him with a squishy ball and fingers crossed it seems to be doing the trick, no more dropped balls! Chance is able to run over any height all day and is now even able to do wide changes, huge improvements from him and hes getting faster every day, well done that boy! Chance now has 635 points. Calluna, where do we start with Cally?! She is a little ball of burning red energy! Sometimes lacking focus, but never lacking drive! Calluna has finally made her Open debut at Darley Moor in July 2013, she is a great start dog, however, it seems this leaves her too much time to watch the other lane and often results in her chasing and running out along with interference, so for now Calluna will run 2nd/3rd dog. She has had an amazing start running consitantly 4.0-4.2. Calluna has now joined Chasers as a permanent member! Calluna has 455 points Lyriq is our newest Open dog, making his debut at Anglesey mid week show in August 2013. Lyriq had not been without problems, he was obsessed with the box and refused to run back down the lane, after tirelessly doing run backs and recalls we decided to remove him from the box altogether, fortunately, whilst running in starters, his other team mates were also not at the point of needing the box, so we decided not to even put it in the ring. This is what did it, Lyriq now was running up AND down again with his ball and coming back for his tuggy, after three starter competitions and 3/4 training sessions, we decided to reintroduce Lyriq to the box and it worked! All the way there, turning on box and all the way back for his tuggy! Lyriq is now running as a fully fledged Open dog, running 13" all day as start dog in his first competition, fantastic! Lexi is our last and currently only, starter dog. The progress she has made has been amazing, from being totally distracted by all the commotion of another lane, wanting to chase other dogs, not wanting to recall, I am pleased to say Lexi is now running up and down, even having a dog run in on her without blinking, she is turning on the box and coming all the way back to her Dad! Mike gets frustrated with Lexi, not least because he is faced with a bunch of collies who generally take to flyball without issue, so is constantly comparing Lexi (GSD) to them, not a good idea! Each dog is an individual and the ones who make us work hard are the ones who REALLY make us appreciate what it is to train a dog to do flyball! Lexi will be in Open very soon! Now for the more experienced dogs: Mia, she came back to us after her mum finally finished all of her exams, it was a shaky start for her, running out, not turning on the box and sometimes not even bringing the ball back, Mia is a sensitive soul and if something upsets her (no matter how small it seems) it can set her back a lot! Mia has now made a full come back, running all day over her own height (13") and running perfectly all day! Tes, she is still going strong, but has had a couple of hiccups with ball spitting, hopefully this is just down to us having to mix teams up a little and will disappear once she is back with her regular team mates! Billy, after MONTHS of hard work, retraining his turn, Billy is finally back in Open. Billy had the most atrocious turn, and was beginning to look dangerous, for safety we pulled him out of Open racing and decided to teach him to turn the opposite way. Billy came back at Anglesey weekend and made us all proud! (Good job really, seeing as Amber has decided one Flyball dog is enough in one family!) Digby; we have had a few problems with Digby, his "head-bobbing/lane blocking" seemed to be getting worse, the only dog on Chasers that we could send into him was Bracken and even she was starting to back off, losing us precious time. Jasmine and Inca would refuse too run into him and simply ran out! So with much regret we decide to take him off Chasers and put him on Seekers, where Winchester could run into him, Winchester is much like a steam train and will pretty much run into anything, lane blocking or not! Doing this meant Darryl and I could spend more time focusing on what he was doing, try to figure out how to stop him and also work on Gails starts. This so far, is working well and the pair of them are becoming more consistent. Jasmine has also got her "mojo" back, after losing confidence with running into Digby she had started running out quite regularly, now that we have swapped things about it seems to have rectified itself with little training and she is now back to doing consistent 4.3s and below All other dogs have been very much the same, still running well and gaining points and placings. We are now all geared up for the National British Flyball Championships 2013!! Teams will be as follows: Chasers: Bracken, Jasmine, Calluna, Inca. Lyriq 5th dog (Current seed time 17.12) Seekers: Digby, Winchester, Neville, Tes (Current seed time 18.33) Runners: Kane, Skye, Mia, Honey (Declared time of 21.43) Hunters: Harry, Billy, Summer, Chance (Declared time of 21.71) The weekend did NOT start well at all, Chasers were in on Saturday and were appalling! We didn't win a single race all day, we started off ok, taking the opposing team to 5 legs, but I "bottled" it and gave too loose a change on the last leg and cost us the race...ooops!
From then on it just wouldnt work, Gail struggled to get any decent starts with Digby as he just would not stand still, Jasmine decided she was going to start running out again and to really top it off the box started malfunctioning and wouldnt load! So all we can do is call it a bad day and move on, either that or cry! Sunday we had three teams; Starters, Seekers and Hunters Starters were Macdui, Calluna, Lyriq, Lexi and Chance from Grasshoppers. The mornings racing didnt go great, Lyriq was being somewhat of a pleb and played the "I want to have another go on the box" game and so we struggled to get him to run back DOWN the lane! The other three did great, Lexi really starting to shine, she had a few blips but overall ran really well, even starting to pick up some speed! Team came fifth overall, not a great result but two of them are brand new starters so we cant really expect too much of them. Next in were Seekers, these were on a declared time of 20.70, which I stand by and say is about right for the dogs that were running, however, little Miss Barbie dog (Skye) has recently had an injection of rocket fuel and is now running almost a full second faster! We broke out in the morning with a time of 19.51!! After that we had no chance of doing it again as Tes decided she wanted to chase the other lane and so repeatedly ran out, naughty girl! In the afternoon our first race was against an empty lane and they all finally got it together, Tes stopped running out and of course we once again broke out, this time with a time of 20.07, one more and we would be disqualified! Come the last race we decided to push the changes and see what time they could..... so what happens? They do mid 20's which is exactly what I expected them to do! Blooming dogs aye! These came away with a fourth which was much better than I expected so well done to them, not an easy day but at least we ended on a good note. Next up were Hunters, this was a brand new line up of our previous starter dogs; Chance (Collie), Summer (Cocker) and Amber (Collie), with Honey and Kane making sure they could complete all day. I cannot put into words how proud I felt, this was quite a few months of hard work with these guys, dogs who have chase instinct, lack of focus and drive and generally not the "average easy going collies." The only "blips" we had was Amber refusing to go over full height, bless her and also having a couple of "Barbie" moments, (she is going to be contesting Skye for this years awards!) Other than that they all ran paw perfect all day, Chance managed to throw in a 4.63, which is pretty incredible, Summer and Amber did high 5's most of the day so were a lot more consistent than expected, they were all utter super stars. Special mentions go to little Summer being the height dog and so having to run all day, but she wasn't phased one little bit. They came fourth after some excellent racing and managed to take home their first ever Open rosettes, so massive well done to them all! Ryecroft next week where Harry will be joining the line up and hopefully gain his Open dog status So having the weekend go from dreadful to pretty damn good, it was topped of even more with Inca winning ABC (Anything but Collie) Singles with fastest time of 4.12 and also Jasmine and Inca won pairs with a time of 8.29... NOT too shabby at all! One VERY happy Team capt Another lovely venue, such a shame about the weather, drizzly and miserable throughout, though racing continued and the ground held out!
We were missing a couple of dogs for this tournament so we ran mixed teams Saturday was Runners, consisting of; Bracken, Skye, Jasmine and Honey with Billy running in the two minutes. We were on a declared time of 20.70 and broke out immediately with a time of 19.87!! Ooooops!! For all the times I have declared I have NEVER been so wrong! Turns out, little Miss Barbie brain (Skye) has started running 5.5! Rules state we cannot hold the dogs back, so as to slow the team; you should run with close changes. So, we changed the order, putting Jasmine last, as Honey isn't a fan of dogs running into her; she will run a little slower, this worked a treat and we could soon swap back to our original order once Skye and Honey had blown away their cobwebs! The afternoons racing saw the very same thing happen, so once again we swapped the order about and were able to race fairly. The team came second overall, so an excellent position to finish on. Sunday we had starters and Seekers. Starters were first up, this time Lexi making her debut and what a star she was managing approx 5 faultless legs! Well done that Shepherd! Lyriq also made a lot of progress running BACK down the lane as well as up it! Mum had run him for this and the last comp, but having nearly ripped her arms out of her sockets, it was decided that he is to be run by his dad! Amber, Chance and Harry looked like pro's and Chance not stalking the incoming dogs at all! What a difference! They came fifth and did me proud. The last Open team was Seekers, consisting of; Winchester, Kane, Inca, Tes and Chance. The team ran really well and were just outmatched by two teams which put them in second. Big well done to Chance who ran 3 legs without fault and was really starting to power back! Harry, Amber, Chance and Summer have now left Starters (hopefully for good) they will be making their full Open debut (sadly minus Harry) at Sutton Fields next week! Little late with this blog so may be a little tight on the details!
We had three teams entered, two open and two starters. Saturday was just Starters and consisted of; Calluna, Amber, Harry, Chance and another Chance from Grasshoppers. They did brilliantly, and won the division with Chance "2" making his debut and making his dad very proud! Sunday was Hunters and Chasers Hunters consisted of Winchester, Neville, Skye, Tes and Harry and Chance apprenticing. The day didn't go too badly, though they seemed a little outmatched by the other teams and ended up with 4th. However Chance and Harry were absolute superstars! Both of them running paw perfect and almost winning us a couple of legs! Poor Skylar was having a "Barbie" day and was distracted by the pools at the side of the ring, telling us all that it would be much more fun to splash about in the water as it was a rather warm day! They all ran fine and I am more than happy with the days result, but over the moon with our starter babies. Chasers had a mixed day really, we started well, winning the first race and losing the second, we then had the afternoon break and when Digby came out he was lame! So of course he couldn't race, which left us with the three Open dogs and our two apprentices; Amber and Summer. So we decided we may as well give them both a fair shot at it and BOY did they surprise us! Summer was first up and with her on the team we managed to take our first opponents to five legs! She was amazing, not a paw wrong! Next up was Amber, running over Jasmines height and again, completely faultless, leaving Kay a little watery around the eyes! The pair of them exceeded my expectations and showed us they were more than ready for Open racing. Fantastic day, even if our "Top team" didnt get to compete fully, but hey running an 8" spaniel and still gaining 18.87 isn't a bad time at ALL! Monday was Multibreed and Starters again. Starters were first in, with Lyriq making his "proper" debut and ran much better than expected, ie; didnt spend the entire race down at the box end! Lexi managed a lot of runs in the warm up time, getting used to the busy atmosphere and was looking really good. Benee from RFT also joined us as did Teyha from Grasshoppers, Macdui also made his comeback and ran brilliantly all day, the team came third and exceeded my expectations. The Mulitbreed team ran really well and won their divsion, Honey was running for Paws8 and she came away with a fourth. Great weekend, soooo proud of our babies and the weather was gorgeous! Not the most succesful weekends (in terms of placings,) by a long shot, but boy did we have fun!
Saturday was Hunters; Kane, Neville, Skye and Tes with Chance as 5th dog and Calluna doing warm ups. First race things were looking good, we lost 3-2 but all dogs ran really well, so no complaints, however, that really was the best race we had all day! Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong! Neville decided he liked the cheese in his mums pocket far more than his ball, and so half way through the day started dropping it half way down the lane! Tes decided she didn't want to do any close changes so was running out, and Kane and Skye had a couple of fumbles! They did eventually pull it back together and won the last race of the day, these things happen, dogs will be dogs and we have a couple of things to learn from this! Chance made his official Open Debut, having a tiny head pop on his first run, but then realised what he was doing and did three fantastic runs, onwards and upwards with that boy! Calluna, though not yet ready for Open racing is doing really well in the 2 minute warm up, no problems with the jumps, just sometimes forgets that she's supposed to turn on the box and take a ball! She is improving every time! Biggest surprise of the day was Skye running super fast and pulling out a 5.2!! Go Barbie dog! Sunday was Chasers day, this was the first time since October that Bracken was returning to her rightful place, as she was now 10 weeks pos pup and to ease her back in, we had her sharing a place with Winchester. This day was not about winning the division, but actually getting close changes and hopefully repeating a sub 17 second time. Second leg of the first race...16.96! Go Storm Chasers! After that we got a little bit carried away and silly, getting light after light after light! In the afternoon we decided to calm ourselves a little and went on to win the next two races, coming 4th overall, not bad considering! So we are back doing the times we need to keep us a cut above the rest! Harry did well in his warm ups, looking like hes remembering to go over the jumps, not round them! Hes doing just fine and coming along nicely. Drax will be our next outing and we cannot WAIT! Well, where do I start?! After what seemed like forever; outdoor flyball had finally arrived and what a way to kick off the season!
Friday was Starters, we had Harry, Calluna, Amber, Chance, Lyriq and Lexi. The first four named dogs ran paw perfect virtually all day, bar the last race when we had a couple of minor headpops, Lyriq and Lexi did great using the warm up time and even put in a couple of legs each when we were against an empty lane! The team came second, being beaten only by one team, who had also ran unbeaten all day. Huge well done to them all Sunday we had the two Open teams: Chasers and Hunters We started the day with Hunters; Kane, Skye, Neville and Tes, joined by Harry and Chance, making their Open debuts! First race in things were a bit "all over the place" and they lost, second race they did much better, heads were screwed on and they went on to win. Special mentions to Skye and Emily, this was Skyes first outdoor competition and as such, there are a LOT more distractions and for little Barbie brains it takes a lot of effort and concentration to run all day, so huge well done to them both! Harry and Chance did fabulous in the warm ups, not a single blip, and as they were doing so well, we put them in for a few legs each and they did us proud! Both Harry and Chance will now have their first flyball points and it really wont be long until they are running as part of a four dog team! Hunters won only 2 races of 5, but so did a lot of the other teams, which with our fastest time of 20.65 put us in second place Chasers had a much better day than I expected them too. Sadly first race in things went wrong, wrong, wrong! Jasmine ran out on three occasions, and we also got lights for being early, completely threw it away as we were much faster on times, these things happen! After Jasmine decided she didn't like Winchester, we decided to change the order completely and run Inca start, this would have gone REALLY well if she would actually run in a straight line, rather than stopping to bark at Winchester (her favourite team mate!) we kept Inca start as she doesnt tire and I did manage to get some reasonable times out of her. Calluna and Summer were down to use the warm up times, to get them used to the atmosphere and running without netting, they both did great, Cally had a couple of tiny headpops, but actually did 100 times better than I expected her to, so big well done to them both! Some big changes for that team and handlers and dogs coped excellently, Inca first time running starts instead of last, and didn't spit her ball all day! Also was quite nice when she actually tried and ran 3.75 seconds!! (perhaps thanks to the Damiana and Kola from Dorwest!) Gail also had a lot to cope with, having only ever run as start, managed some excellent change overs and Digby doing 4.06! Winchester ran the best he ever has done, hardly fumbling at all! And Jasmine, well, she was Jasmine, once she realised she was running into Inca she was much happier and ran paw perfect all day. Team came second and had a fastest time of 17.30! NOT too shabby for a first time out! Monday was Mulitbreed day, Storm Dynamix; Kane, Skye, Rodney (GSD borrowed form Carry On's), Tes, Inca and Mia This was a mixed day, Skye had already run her little socks off the previous day and didn't trigger the box every time, as we had inca we simply shared the pace to keep Skye fresh, which worked really well! Mia also got to do a few legs as Tes (who is a very particular girl) wasn't keen on running into Rodney, so ran out a few times. Overall they all did extremely well; asking brand new dogs to run on two consecutive days is a big ask, Skye and Tes did fantastically and I couldn't have asked for more! Team came third, shame as four 2nds's would have been lovely! Off to Epworth Showground on the 20th, where Bracken will be making her come back!! What a way to end our first year! we had the usual three teams; Chasers, Seekers and Starters
Seekers were first in on Saturday and were joined by Neville and Sandra, our new team members! The dogs ran so well and only lost TWO of the races throughout the day! After starting the day almost losing on lights, the team pulled themselves together and went for the win, the last race of the day could have meant first place for them, but it was not meant to be, it was an excellent race and Northants took first place, Commando's second and we happily were in third. A MUCH more successful days racing than we had previously had! Starters were next in; Calluna, Amber, Summer, Kai and Harry. All the dogs ran really well, despite being distracted by the lack of centre netting in the run back area, rather poor form on the Tournament Organisers behalf in my opinion! They came last bless them, but seeing as three of the dogs were brand new to starters I am super happy with the progress they are making! Last but not least, Chasers raced on Sunday, running clean all day and not losing a single race all day! We finally won Division One! Digby ran his heart out, having had at least one false start on every leg and still managing to run 4.2's at the end of the day. Inca seeming to race the opponent dog, but not running faster than 4.3 for some reason, Jasmine decided she was better at running herself than her Dad and so sent herself at one point! Which ended up being hugely early and almost costing us a leg! Cheeky girl. Bracken also did fabulously, putting Digby in his place after he was "head bobbing" at Jasmine, she managed to pull out some low 4's too! This was our last two day tournament, seems like we have only just got started and the season is already over. We still have Drax to do, which is almost like a two day event, but after that it's all indoor, competing only once a month, but training hard when we're not. Watch out for us next year, we will be making waves! Not really sure on where to start with this one. This was our one year Anniversary weekend, we had a little party planned and two open plus a starter team entered. Nothing could have gone more perfectly to mark our first year as a competitive team.
Saturday we had all three teams in, starting with starters. Calluna was making her debut and was a little star! Yes she was distracted by the other lane and forgot what she was supposed to be doing a couple of times, but overall she ran brilliantly, doing her mum and the rest of the team proud. Amber having now done a number of starter competitions is really starting to look like an old hand at it, just need to get that pesky box work sorted and it really wont be very long until she is racing in Open. Kai is continuing to remain focused and reliable, Skye also taking it all in her stride and running perfectly all day. We have gained a new team member this weekend, Sandra, with her two spaniels, Summer and Neville. Summer joined us in the starter team and ran beyond everyones expectations! The team came third and I could not be more proud of them. Seekers have been having a really tough time of it lately, dogs going lame or running out, has meant they havent been able to complete a full days racing in a little while. However, although they still had a couple of blips, Mia running out, Billy being lame and replaced by Kane, they did manage to race all day, got some points under their belt and even managed to win a race despite running almost a full second slower than their seed time. Lastly we had Chasers, we started off the day by annihilating our seed time (17.30) with a new time of 16.81 which puts us in the "Top Ten" of the country! I will admit being close to tears when I saw the time, and this was just the first leg of the day. We then did 17.00 and then 17.14 so fairly consistent. We had no intention of getting a time like that, as we were in Division 2 so stood a fair chance of winning the division so long as we kept our cool and ran clean... turns out when we run clean we kick butt! We even managed to win the division, losing only one race and two other teams in the same position, so it went down to fastest time, which thankfully was ours. So not only did we go sub 17 but Chasers team gained their FIRST first place rosettes! We also had a party in the evening, to celebrate our anniversary, the team got together (behind our backs I might add!) and presented Darryl and I with the most beautiful gift, a book containing pictures of the team, thank-you's from every member and wonderful memories from our first year, I will admit I bawled my eyes out. Never did I imagine how much impact this flyball business would have on their lives. I truly do feel like the luckiest captain in the country, I have THE best team and love them all dearly. So here is to another successful year with you all! This was the weekend we have all been working towards since we started almost 12 months ago. We had just the two teams entered; Seekers and Chasers.
Seekers were in on Saturday and the dogs and handlers ran their hearts out, sadly they were only placed fourth but the other teams just had the edge on them, next year they will be much stronger, fitter and their handlers able to cope with being pushed to make close changes. For their first year they have done me and themselves extremely proud and I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful team. Chasers raced on Sunday, also coming away with a fourth, a very frustrating days racing, the weather (as seems to be the theme for this year) was not on our side at all, only this time it was just too hot! The dogs didn't seem to cope well with the heat at all and were lagging from the word go. Inca didn't seem to have any "go" in her at all, while the others just couldnt seem to pull out any fast times. A couple of races were lost on lights but it was clear that we would never have beaten the top seeded teams as they were just too fast for us. We will be back next year, hopefully with a much stronger team of dogs and handlers. Everyone kept their heads together and did just what I expected of them; ran to the best of their abilities. Well done to all, lets see if we c |
